STUDENTS' ONE HEALTH INNOVATION CLUB

We are students at the College of Health Sciences, University of Nairobi, passionate about interdisciplinary collaborations.
As a club, we foster collaborations by providing a platform for members to share information and resources and engage in identifying one health challenges and provide solutions.
We bring together a community of students from diverse backgrounds
One Health is "the collaborative efforts of multiple disciplines working to attain optimal health for people, animals, and the environment."
Students' One Health Innovation Club (SOHIC) brings together students from diverse backgrounds to explore One Health challenges and develop innovation around them.
Our collaborations are not limited to the CHS community at the University of Nairobi, but expand to include the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, University of Nairobi, the College of Health Sciences, Moi University and Egerton University, College of Veterinary Sciences.
We are also open to partnerships with students from other colleges and faculties who are working on exploring health challenges and developing solutions.
We believe that collaborations empower "common people" to attain "uncommon results" and enjoy the fruits of synergy.
We are affiliated with the African One Health University Network (AFROHUN).

CLUB ACTIVITIES
With regular events including case competitions, community outreach, trainings and brainstorming sessions throughout the year, SOHIC CHS helps its members explore the many opportunities to learn and use the one health approach in tackling some health challenges.
